Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth cleared NFL concussion protocols and has been cleared to play in Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, according to the injury report.

Freiermuth was subject to protocol after absorbing a hit late in this past Sunday’s loss at the Cincinnati Bengals, but he practiced fully all week. The Steelers’ second-round pick, Freiermuth has more touchdown receptions (six) than all other NFL rookie tight ends combined.

Also given a clean bill of health Friday after making it through a full practice despite injury were receiver Chase Claypool (toe), cornerback Arthur Maulet (quadriceps), offensive tackle Zach Banner (illness) and long snapper Christian Kuntz (hip).

Veteran cornerback Joe Haden, though, will miss a third consecutive game because of a foot injury. Though James Pierre has been filling in for Haden since he suffered his ailment during a tie with the Detroit Lions on Nov. 14, Pierre has been increasingly losing playing time to veteran Ahkello Witherspoon and third-year cornerback Justin Layne.
