The starter at the highest-profile position got most of the attention. But five other starters were listed on the injury report after Wednesday’s Pittsburgh Steelers practice.
Joining quarterback Kenny Pickett with a “limited” designation was cornerback Cameron Sutton, who was listed as having a “neck (stinger)” injury.
Not practicing at all were running back Najee Harris (hip), tight end Pat Freiermuth (foot), inside linebacker Myles Jack (groin) and defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi (toe).
Notable in his absence on the injury report was reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year T.J. Watt, who is dealing with a painful rib injury and has been missing some practice time in recent weeks. Watt was deemed “questionable” to play on each of the past two week-ending status reports, although he did play in each game.
The ailments afflicting Sutton, Jack and Freiermuth were not previously publicly acknowledged, though Jack has been affected by a knee injury in recent weeks. Ogunjobi has been missing practice time for several weeks because of his toe but has not missed any game action.

Harris in recent weeks has had an injury characterized as to his oblique. It is not known if the hip ailment is related.
Aside from Pickett and saying that defensive lineman Chris Wormley needed knee surgery, coach Mike Tomlin on Tuesday termed all other injured players as having “bumps and bruises and so forth” and that while their practice participation might be affected early in the week that there was little doubt they would miss Sunday’s game.
The Steelers practice Thursday and Friday in advance of playing Sunday at the Carolina Panthers.
