Steelers, Pitt greats receive Pro Football Hall of Fame gold jackets in Canton
Five former members of the Pittsburgh Steelers and a former Pitt great will be enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend in Canton, Ohio.
Former Steelers coach Bill Cowher, Troy Polamalu and Donnie Shell are in the Class of 2020, and Alan Faneca and Bill Nunn are part of the Class of 2021. Former Pitt standout Jimbo Covert is part of the 2020 class.
The 28 inductees in the 2020 and 2021 classes received their gold jackets Friday night in Canton, Ohio.
The 2020 class will be enshrined at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, and the 2021 class at 7 p.m. Sunday. Polamalu, who tested positive for covid a week ago, is in Canton for the ceremony. He took part in a Hall of Fame parade Saturday morning.
