For the third time in the past 10 weeks, former Pitt star Darrin Hall signed a contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
A 1,000-yard rusher for the Panthers in 2018, Hall signed a reserve/future deal Tuesday. Hall twice over the second half of this past season had short stints on the Steelers’ practice squad.

The 6-0, 217-pound Hall had a Pitt record 7.48 yards per carry as a senior, a figure that ranked seventh nationally. Hall had 2,189 rushing yards in his college career.
Hall spent time with the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals and Green Bay Packers during the summer but was cut at the end of training camp. He was living in Youngstown, awaiting a call from an NFL team when the Steelers first summoned him Oct. 30.
Hall joins former Pitt receiver/returner Quadree Henderson as ex-Panthers players on the Steelers’ offseason roster.
