The Pittsburgh Steelers added an interior offensive lineman with starting experience, signing Brock Hoffman.

Hoffman, who will turn 27 this summer, has made 16 starts and appeared in 54 NFL regular-season games with the Dallas Cowboys. Undrafted in 2022, Hoffman joined the Cowboys late that season and remained with them since. Until this past season, his head coach in Dallas was new Steelers coach Mike McCarthy.

Hoffman and a representative of the agency that represents him, Joe Panos, on Monday posted a photo of Hoffman signing his contract at the Steelers’ facility. His signing is reportedly for one year.

As a restricted free agent, the Cowboys had to decline to tender Hoffman a contract before he could be free to sign with any team.

The 6-foot-4, 302-pound Hoffman joins the mix in the Steelers’ offensive line position room as the organization replaces veteran starting left guard Isaac Seumalo. Seumalo left as a free agent for the Arizona Cardinals.

Spencer Anderson has served as the top backup at guard the past two seasons. The Steelers could stage a training-camp competition between Anderson and Hoffman for the starting left guard job, and they additionally could add to the position via next month’s draft.

The Steelers also last week brought back veteran backup center Ryan McCollum.

Hoffman was primarily a center at Virginia Tech, and that is the position he has started most in the NFL. He also has experience starting at both guard spots.
