Shown while playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during a preseason game last month at Acrisure Stadium, wide receiver Rakim Jarrett was signed to the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad on Monday.

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Rakim Jarrett to their practice squad Monday.

Jarrett, 24, has appeared in 21 games (including playoffs) over the past two seasons since making the team as an undrafted free agent in 2023. The 6-foot, 190-pound Jarrett has 13 catches for 184 yards in his NFL career.

Jarrett has two career starts and played extensively on special teams as a rookie but this season did not make the roster at the end of Tampa Bay’s training camp, and he did not join the Bucs’ practice squad. Jarrett had two catches for 26 yards this preseason.

Jarrett takes the practice-squad spot of Lance McCutcheon, a wide receiver who was signed to the practice squad last week but had spent all of the offseason, summer workouts and training camp with the Steelers. McCutcheon, who has 10 games of NFL regular-season experience (all with the Los Angeles Rams in 2022), spent a month on the Steelers’ practice squad last year.
