Steelers’ T.J. Watt, Diontae Johnson, Malik Reed upgraded on injury report, will play vs. Ravens
T.J. Watt, Diontae Johnson and Malik Reed were upgraded in their injury status Saturday and will play for the Pittsburgh Steelers in Sunday’s home game against the Baltimore Ravens.
All three were listed as questionable on the status report Friday. Watt and Johnson, in particular, had expressed optimism they would play against the Ravens.
An outside linebacker and reigning AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Watt has been dealing with the pain of a rib injury since suffering it two weeks ago in a win in Indianapolis.
The Steelers’ leading receiver, Johnson suffered a hip injury on the final catch of this past week’s win at the Atlanta Falcons.

The top backup at outside linebacker, Reed has a back injury.
Watt, Johnson and Reed each missed one full practice this past week, and each was limited in at least one other.
With the questionable designation removed from Watt, Johnson and Reed, the Steelers (5-7) will have the entirety of their 53-man roster available for the AFC North showdown that could extend their winning streak to three. Offensive tackle Chuks Okorafor (shoulder), running back Najee Harris (oblique) and defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi (toe) were cleared via Friday’s injury report.
