SPECIALISTS

9 CHRIS BOSWELL · 6-2 · 185

Should Boswell have been the Steelers’ 2024 team MVP? After going 76 of 79 on kicks and making first-team All-Pro, Boswell took the torch from Justin Tucker as the league’s best kicker.

29 BEN SAULS · 5-9 · 182

Barring injury, Sauls won’t be the Steelers’ kicker this season, but the Pitt alum begins his journey on a pro career. The Steelers typically bring two kickers to camp; Sauls will get to show what he can do.

5 CAMERON JOHNSTON · 5-11 · 194

Signed to a three-year, $9 million free-agent deal last spring, Johnston was to solve the Steelers’ punting problems. He did so — for 3 ½ quarters until a torn ACL ended his season. He’s back at 100%.

3 CORLISS WAITMAN · 6-2 · 210

Waitman filled in admirably in Johnston’s stead — so much so that coordinator Danny Smith labeled the punter job an open competition. Waitman had prior NFL experience and in the past was a Steelers’ fill-in.

46 CHRISTIAN KUNTZ · 6-1 · 228

Back for a fifth year as the Steelers’ long snapper, Kuntz (Chartiers Valley, Duquesne University) is a good local story. But he’s been good at his job in his own right.

45 TUCKER ADDINGTON · 6-2 · 230

A late-offseason add, Addington is joining his fifth team and has 10 regular-season games of service time over three seasons. He’s a longshot to beat out Kuntz but provides insurance and a reliable camp skillset.
