Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell throws a pass on a fake field goal attempt during last week’s game game against the Cleveland Browns. Boswell was injured on this play but has progressed through NFL concussion protocol to the point he has been cleared to play Monday against the Chicago Bears.

The Pittsburgh Steelers finished last week’s game without a healthy kicker. They’ll enter prep for their next game with two.

Chris Boswell emerged from a week of practice as cleared to play in Monday night’s home game against the Chicago Bears, per the league-mandated injury report released Saturday. Boswell was listed as a full practice participant Friday and Saturday while he progressed through NFL concussion protocol resulting from a hit absorbed during a win at Cleveland.

As insurance, the Steelers this week signed veteran kicker Josh Lambo to their practice squad.

Also Saturday, it was announced that tight end Eric Ebron will miss a second consecutive game because of a hamstring injury.

The Steelers have two tight ends on the active roster — rookie Pat Freiermuth and backup Zach Gentry — in addition to Kevin Rader on the practice squad.

Reserve interior offensive lineman B.J. Finney was deemed questionable for Monday’s game after he was limited at Saturday’s practice. Finney did not practice at all Friday because of a back injury.

The Bears will be without Pro Bowl edge rusher Khalil Mack because of a foot injury that will force him out of a second consecutive game. Also out for Chicago are Shaler Area High School alumnus J.P. Holtz — the tight end has a concussion — and reserve running back Damien Williams.

The Bears, though, are expected to activate No. 1 running back David Montgomery off of injured reserve. Coach Matt Nagy told reporters “there’s a really good chance” Montgomery will play against the Steelers.

Listed as questionable for Chicago are linebacker Alec Ogletree (ankle) and receiver Darrell Mooney (groin). Safety Eddie Jackson (hamstring) is listed as doubtful. Of those three starters, only Mooney practiced at all this week — and even then, only in a limited capacity.
