Despite mid-week injuries, Steelers' Najee Harris and Kendrick Green will play vs. Lions
Despite an apparent mid-week foot injury, Pittsburgh Steelers workhorse running back Najee Harris will play in Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions.
After he was listed as a limited participant at Thursday’s practice, Friday’s injury report had Harris as a full participant.
Starting center Kendrick Green similarly was a Thursday addition to the injury report but was deemed to have practiced fully Friday after being limited the prior day. A rookie who has started every game this season, Green is dealing with a hamstring injury.
The Steelers’ first-round pick, Harris is 10th in the NFL in rushing yards with 541, and he’s second in carries with 150 through eight games. Counting receptions, Harris has 190 touches. Only the injured Derrick Henry has more.
