The Pittsburgh Steelers’ Dec. 15 game against the Buffalo Bills has been flexed to “Sunday Night Football,” it was announced during this week’s NBC primetime broadcast.
Originally scheduled for 1 p.m., the Steelers regular-season home finale will kick off at 8:20 p.m. NBC has rights to switch some late-season games, and after the Los Angeles Chargers fell to 4-8 with a loss Sunday, the change was made.
The Steelers-Bills game will be the Steelers’ third on Sunday night this season and sixth overall in primetime. The Steelers played in Sunday night games in Week 1 at New England and Week 6 at the Chargers. They also hosted Monday night games against Cincinnati and Miami and played at the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, Nov. 14.
The Steelers (7-5) have won six of their past seven games. The Bills (9-3) have won six of eight.
The Steelers play at the Arizona Cardinals next week.
