EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The Pittsburgh Steelers’ regular season will last an additional three-plus hours. What happens in it will help determine if their season goes on beyond that.

The NFL on Sunday night announced its schedule for Week 17 games. In recent years, the league has set Week 17 times a week in advance to minimize competitive advantages and create more playoff chase and seeding drama.

The Steelers (8-7) will play the rival Baltimore Ravens (13-2) at M&T Bank Stadium with a 4:25 p.m. kickoff. The Steelers’ most likely path to a playoff spot is a victory and the Houston Texans defeating the Tennessee Titans in a game going on simultaneously in Houston, though there is another scenario that gets them in even with a loss.

Baltimore has won 11 consecutive games, but it wrapped up home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs with its win Sunday at Cleveland.
