The Pittsburgh Steelers don’t know yet whether they will earn the No. 7 seed in the AFC playoffs. They do know where they will be playing if they get there.

The Steelers will travel to Buffalo and face the Bills if everything breaks their way Sunday.

Based on Kansas City’s victory Saturday against Las Vegas, the Chiefs will be the No. 1 seed in the AFC and get the conference’s only bye with a 14-3 record.

The Steelers need to beat or tie the Cleveland Browns on Sunday and have Buffalo beat New England and the New York Jets defeat Miami to get the final seed in the AFC. A Buffalo win would clinch the No. 2 seed for the Bills with a 13-3 record and a wild-card playoff date with the No. 7 seed. Cincinnati could not get the second seed if Buffalo beats New England.

If Buffalo loses to New England, the Steelers would be eliminated from the playoff picture, and New England would get the No. 7 seed. Miami needs a Buffalo win and Steelers loss to get the No. 7 seed.

Jacksonville also could get the No. 7 seed in the event the Jaguars don’t win the AFC South on Saturday night. Losses by the Patriots, Dolphins and Steelers would do the trick.
