A fan's guide to Steelers training camp
The players who arrived at Pittsburgh Steelers training camp Tuesday came in style with giant SUVs and sporty matte-black Porsche coupes.
For fans who arrive Wednesday, it will be the first chance to check out training camp at Saint Vincent College since 2019, the last year before the team moved camp to Pittsburgh during worst of the covid pandemic.
Fans can attend the 1:55 p.m. practices at Saint Vincent on July 27 - 30, Aug. 1 - 4, Aug. 6, Aug. 8 - 11 and Aug. 15 - 18. The “Friday Night Lights” practice will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 5. The full schedule is available at Steelers.com/training-camp.
There is no cost for digital training camp tickets, but they must be reserved through Ticketmaster.com — type “pittsburgh steelers training camp” into the search box.
Despite heading into his senior year at Saint Vincent, this will be the first training camp for Luke Mich, 21, of Downingtown, who spent most of his Tuesday creating a barrier between players and the media.

“We did orientation yesterday, and today I’ve mostly been keeping watch to make sure no ones goes to places they’re not permitted,” Mich said.
Being from the eastern side of the state, Mich is more of an Eagles guy, but said his mother’s side of the family is from Pittsburgh, and joining the training camp staff will provide him with some valuable experience.
“I’m a sports and media major,” he said.
Fans headed to training camp should plan to enter the campus via Saint Vincent Drive and follow signage to the parking lot and camp entrance. Parking opens to fans at 11:30 a.m., and the gates to camp open at noon.
The Steelers Pro Shop will be set up at the entrance, and while autographs are not guaranteed, fans can line up at a designated area where players regularly stop to sign memorabilia after practice concludes.
Younger fans can take part in football drills and physical activities at the FedEx Air & Ground Zone and the NFL Play 60 Fun Zone.
Each open practice day also includes noon meet-and-greets with Steelers legends at the camp’s Steelers Experience area, and on July 29-30, the session will include a game of “Madden NFL” between a Steelers alum and JonBeast, a member of the Pittsburgh Knights esports team.
Special events will include “Back Together Saturday” on July 30, which will include meet-and-greets, prizes and giveaways, and the announcement of the Steelers 2022 Hall of Honor class; and on Aug. 6, the Steelers will host a women’s training camp with Steelers legends conducting on-field drills, sideline access to training camp, a discount at the Steelers Pro Shop and an autograph session with current and former players.
