Steelers announce plans for Acrisure Stadium membership-only club
The Pittsburgh Steelers are planning a new premium club to open for the 2026 NFL season.
The 1933 Club will be a membership-only speakeasy-inspired space within Acrisure Stadium that the Steelers say will provide an elevated experience for fans. Nodding to Pittsburgh’s history, the club’s name is a reference to the year that the NFL team was established. This will be the first club of its kind at the stadium.
“To us, this is more than just a club space,” said Ryan Huzjak, senior vice president of business operations for the Pittsburgh Steelers, in a release. “The 1933 Club addresses the desire of our most loyal fans for an enhanced game day experience with restaurant-quality food and beverage options and to get closer to the players.”
The space will include food and beverage options, a lounge area, screens to view the game, access to behind-the-scenes views of the Steelers locker room entrance and player tunnel, and other features.
On non-game days, the space will also be available to be rented for private events.
Plans for the club were unveiled Thursday before the Sports and Exhibition Authority, which “develops first-class sports, entertainment, recreational, and convention venues to benefit Pittsburgh’s economy and improve quality of life,” according to its website.
Doug Straley of the SEA said Thursday that the plans were approved by the Authority as an alteration, meaning that they will be paid for 100% by the team. He said that the purpose of the new club is to provide an upgraded fan experience at Acrisure Stadium.
Construction of the new club is not expected to impact seating for the current NFL season.
Membership in the 1933 Club will open up to Pittsburgh Steelers season ticket holders later this year on a first-come, first-served basis. Membership in the club will not include a game ticket.
