Steelers receiver Calvin Austin III celebrates after a touchdown in the season opener against the Jets last month at MetLife Stadium. Austin has missed the past two games because of a shoulder injury.

Not only did Calvin Austin III return to Pittsburgh Steelers practice Wednesday, he did so as a full participant.

“Practiced well, felt good,” Austin said after the session at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex. “I’m good.”

After sitting out the past two games following a shoulder injury suffered during the Sept. 28 win in Dublin, Austin is on track to return to game action for Sunday night’s meeting with the Green Bay Packers.

“Whatever Coach T says, I’ll be ready,” said Austin, the Steelers’ No. 2 wide receiver. “I think I’m ready.”

Austin had 10 catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns before suffering his injury during the second half of a win against the Minnesota Vikings in Dublin. Austin was second among Steelers wide receivers in receptions last season.

Though Austin missed all of his 2022 rookie season because of a foot injury, he had appeared in all 40 of the Steelers’ games (including playoffs) since.

“It’s been hard,” Austin said of missing time this past three weeks. “Obviously when you first get the injury it’s frustrating just to have the injury, but there wasn’t much I could do. In that aspect the injury itself was frustrating because you can’t be out there with the guys doing what you love.”

Frazier added

Starting center Zach Frazier was added to the injury report Wednesday, listed as a limited practice participant because of a calf injury that had not been previously disclosed.

Inside linebacker Malik Harrison (knee) and rookie quarterback Will Howard (hand) practiced fully but remain on the injured reserve list.

Veterans T.J. Watt and Cameron Heyward were given the day off by coach Mike Tomlin.
