Stephon Tuitt added to Steelers injury report with back injury
As the Pittsburgh Steelers began preparation Wednesday for their game this weekend against the Indianapolis Colts, they had some new additions to the injury report.
Defensive end Stephon Tuitt (back) and outside linebacker Ola Adeniyi (shoulder) did not practice, joining tight end Eric Ebron (back), inside linebacker Ulysees Gilbert III (ankle) and inside linebacker Marcus Allen (stinger) on the injury list. Tuitt and Adeniyi were not listed among the players injured in the Steelers’ 27-17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night.
Tuitt missed some practice time earlier in the season as a concession to the season-ending pectoral injury he suffered midway through the 2019 season. The only game he missed, Dec. 2 against Baltimore, was because of his stint on the reserve/covid-19 list. He has a career-high nine sacks.
The Steelers welcomed running back James Conner (quad) and rookie guard Kevin Dotson (shoulder) back to practice after they did not play against the Bengals. Conner and Dotson were full practice participants.
Fullback Derek Watt (concussion) also was a full practice participant.
Not taking part in practice for non-injury reasons were quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, center Maurkice Pouncey and guard David DeCastro.
