Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin meets with reporters after a game late this past season. The Steelers made the playoffs but are among the longest shots to make it to next year’s Super Bowl.

The end of the Super Bowl means the NFL world is already looking forward to next year’s championship. Locally, they might not like what they see.

The odds for who will win Super Bowl LVII are out — and they aren’t kind to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Only seven of the league’s other 31 teams are considered bigger longshots to win the Lombardi Trophy in February 2023.

According to the lines released by SportsBetting.ag, the Steelers are a 50-to-1 bet (+5000) to win the next Super Bowl. The only teams considered worse bets read like a who’s who of NFL laughingstocks: the Houston Texans and Detroit Lions (150-to-1), New York Jets (125-to-1), New York Giants and Jacksonville Jaguars (100-to-1), Chicago Bears (80-to-1) and Carolina Panthers (60-to-1).

The Steelers are tied with the Washington Commanders, Atlanta Falcons and Las Vegas Raiders at 50-to-1.

The Steelers are coming off a second consecutive playoff season, but they lost via first-round blowouts both times and have lost quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to retirement.

The favorite to win next year’s Super Bowl, according to SportsBetting.ag, is the Kansas City Chiefs at 7-to-1. The Buffalo Bills (7½-to-1), reigning champion Los Angeles Rams (10-to-1), reigning runners-up Cincinnati Bengals (12-to-1), Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers (each 14-to-1) round out the top six.

Among the Steelers’ other AFC North rivals, the Baltimore Ravens are a 20-to-1 bet, and the Cleveland Browns are at 33-to-1.
