The ripple effect of huge NFL moves, delayed MLB season in the fantasy sports world
Not only is the NFL free agent madness impacting the actual league, but it’s also having a major impact on the fantasy football world.
A ton of skill-position players moved, so Jeff Erickson and I have plenty to discuss for our weekly fantasy sports podcast.
Obviously, Tom Brady going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was the biggest story of the sports week. We get into how that will impact Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Jeff has a take on that which may surprise you.
Then there’s the opposite end of the spectrum. What becomes of Julian Edelman in New England, and will any Patriots skill-position players be worth having on your roster?
I think the notion of Antonio Brown going to Tampa Bay with Brady is a bad one. We’ll see what Erickson thinks.
The Houston Texans’ trade with the Arizona Cardinals involving DeAndre Hopkins and David Johnson was huge. So was Stephon Diggs going to Buffalo. We pontificate about how those moves will turn out.
A don’t forget about the Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans. I see better days ahead for Cleveland and maybe a slight step back for the Titans. Let’s see if Jeff agrees.
It looks like Major League Baseball is getting pushed back further than that initial two-week delay. We tell you which players on your fantasy team may benefit the most from the extra time to get healthy.
Lastly, we get into what we are missing with a lack of NCAA Tournament games.
