Pirates right fielder Bryan Reynolds scores the go-ahead run during the seventh inning against the Cubs on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at PNC Park.

Here’s a look at next week’s Pirates schedule:

vs. Marlins

6:40 p.m. Monday (SN PIT)

6:40 p.m. Tuesday (SN PIT)

12:35 p.m. Wednesday (SN PIT)

• Two sad scenes played out for the Marlins this week when they hosted the woeful Colorado Rockies at loanDepot Park, beginning with attendance. Granted, two of the worst teams in baseball probably weren’t destined to draw large crowds to begin with, but over the three-game series, the maximum nightly paid attendance announced was 7,583, with the park able to seat nearly 37,000 fans for baseball games. Then the Marlins got swept by the Rockies, the first sweep by Colorado since mid-May of 2024.

at Cubs

8:05 p.m. Thursday (SN PIT)

2:20 p.m. Friday (SN PIT)

2:20 p.m. Saturday (SN PIT)

2:20 p.m. Sunday (SN PIT)

• The Cubs got a scare when outfielder Kyle Tucker jammed a finger on a slide into second base against the Reds on June 1, but X-rays came back negative and Tucker was able to rejoin Chicago’s starting lineup within a few days. This season, his first with the Cubs, the 28-year-old is batting .283 with 12 homers and 39 RBIs. On June 5, the Cubs parted ways with 29-year-old reliever Tyson Miller, freshly activated from the 60-day injured list. While a hip impingement had sidelined him for all of this year, in 2024 with Chicago, he was 5-1 with a 2.15 ERA.
