Looking for a trade partner in the NFL Draft to get the Steelers in position to seize LSU’s Devin White or Michigan’s Devin Bush?

This will work.

Well, it would for the Steelers anyway.

How about the New York Jets at pick No. 3?

Check out this tweet from Rich Cimini. He covers the Jets for ESPN.

Granted, Cimini points out that New York general manager Mike Maccagnan may not be wild at the thought of trading away from a top-three selection. But the prospect exists.

If Kevin Colbert saw this tweet, he should have been on the phone the moment his eyes scanned the words “aren’t even looking for a ransom” and “no demarcation point.”

To me, that means the Jets wouldn’t see dropping to No. 20 as a sin, if they got multiple picks in return.

The benefit to Pittsburgh would be that — even if they do have to give up “a ransom” in return — they’d likely have their choice of either Devin White or Devin Bush at the third pick.

It would probably be White at that stage.

And if dipping to the 20 hole is too far for New York’s liking, maybe the Steelers can swing one trade to get closer to the top 10, or the Jets can trade back twice as the Patriots did with their Jimmy Garoppolo pick.

Hey, don’t blame a kid for dreaming big.
