Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians prior to an NFL football game against the Detroit Lions in Detroit on Dec. 15, 2019.

In this week’s “Madden Monday,” Mark Madden and I bask in the only activity that is allowed to go on in the sports world these days: the NFL offseason.

And thank goodness for that.

So we examine the Stefen Wisniewski signing as well as Bruce Arians snubbing Antonio Brown in Tampa Bay.

Plus, there is the debate over the NFL Draft continuing as scheduled. Mark and I tell you why that was the right move.

On a bigger scale, we debate the prospects of when sports might return after the covid-19 shutdowns lift.

If they ever do.

Mark is pessimistic. I predict why I think things will be up and running by mid-June. There’s a political reason that I think will help the sports world. Find out what it is.

We also kick around the idea of when the NHL may start up again and how it may happen.

Kirk Herbstreit inferred that we may not see sports for 12 to 18 months. We discuss whether or not that was wise.

Also in the conversation, former Pirate Rinku Singh’s ascent as a wrestler, the final season of Brockmire, and Mark’s battle with his own cat.
