Security tries to grab a fan on the field during the second half of the NFL Super Bowl 55 football game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs, Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021, in Tampa, Fla.

It’s an all Super Bowl “First Call” after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers blew out the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 in the NFL title game Sunday night.

We grit our teeth as former Steeler Antonio Brown celebrates earning a ring and scoring a touchdown. We lament Le’Veon Bell’s non-existent contribution. And we recap some huge wins and losses at the betting window.

Plus, the humor of that streaker who ran on the field. The audio call of it. Along with links for the video you didn’t see on the television broadcast.

AB’s TD

Much to the chagrin of Steelers fans, not only did they have to watch Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady win yet another Super Bowl — his seventh, one more than the Steelers organization — but Brady did so in part by throwing two touchdowns to fellow former nemesis Rob Gronkowski.

Plus, head coach Bruce Arians, who was fir … uh … retired from the Steelers as offensive coordinator after the 2011 season, also got a ring.

But seeing Brady complete a touchdown to Antonio Brown was the biggest dagger of all.

The oft-troubled former Steelers All-Pro wide receiver only had 22 yards on five catches. But that one was enough to twist the knife even more.

“Tom is a great guy. He has been in my corner since Day 1. He’s like a big brother to me. He always believed in me. He took me under his wing. He helped me get the right perspective,” Brown said following the victory.

But, hey, if it’s any consolation, all three of those players are former Patriots, too. So folks in New England must’ve felt the same way to a degree as well.

Bell doesn’t ring

On the other side of the fence, Le’Veon Bell’s Super Bowl experience was much more forgettable.

The former Steelers running back dressed for the game. However, the Chiefs never even put him on the field.

The only other player on Kansas City’s roster who dressed but didn’t play was backup quarterback Chad Henne.

Given some of the pass protection issues the Chiefs were having all night, maybe he could’ve helped in that regard.

Painting the picture

When a streaker ran on the field and interrupted the game, Westwood One play-by-play man Kevin Harlan launched into an extremely in-depth description of the events.

The BBC radio call was pretty funny, as well. I’m not sure what Chicago game they are referring to in the British clip. But I think they might be thinking of when Baltimore Colts linebacker Mike Curtis belted a fan who ran on the field in Miami in 1971.

And, of course, in Pittsburgh, we all remember Steelers linebacker James Harrison planting that fan in Cleveland.

For the record, the streaker did about as good of a job eluding tacklers as Mahomes did behind Kansas City’s offensive line.

Never saw it coming

The Chiefs losing was a surprise. But not a total shocker. After all, Tampa Bay was only a 3-point underdog.

The way that the game played out was stunning, though. I don’t think anyone saw the Bucs cruising to a 31-9 win. As ESPN.com gambling writer David Purdum points out, the lack of points scored by Kansas City was a real jaw-dropper. As was the fact that Patrick Mahomes failed to throw a touchdown.

And Rob Gronkowski scoring two touchdowns was a big payout, too.

Now, if he had gotten three, how do you think this guy would’ve reacted?

Eh, for $20, it was worth the ride.

Now, how did I do on my bets published Friday in “Breakfast With Benz”? Well, 2 for 5. I told you to take the Chiefs at minus-3 and over 56 on the point total. So a big swing and miss on the spread and the over-under. Personally, I backed off the point total before the game because of all those bad weather predictions that never came to fruition.

A blessing in disguise there, I suppose.

As far as player bets went, I said roll the dice on Tyreek Hill as the MVP. He was a disappointment with just seven catches for 73 yards. But I did hit on Bucs’ running back Leonard Fournette scoring a touchdown and Travis Kelce going over 7.5 catches. The K.C. tight end had 10.

Better luck next year.
