Tuesday’s “Breakfast With Benz” podcast is our weekly hockey chat with Brian Metzer of the Penguins Radio Network.

We pick apart the Penguins’ 6-4 loss in Boston on Monday. The Bruins got out to a quick 3-0 lead. The Penguins stormed back with a four-goal second period. Then blew that lead in the third, allowing three more goals.

Brian and I have decided that’s all my fault because, on Monday morning, I heaped praise on the goaltending. And then it was not good against the Bruins.

At all. So that’s on me.

The good news is I was planning to write a column ripping Nick Bjugstad for not doing much of anything since coming to Pittsburgh. So, of course, he went out and scored as well. Brian and I get into his contributions, or lack thereof.

We also talk about injuries to Kris Letang and Patric Hornqvist, Evgeni Malkin’s ups and downs, and John Marino’s impact from the blue line.

Most importantly, we preview the Tool concert on Friday and Brian’s trip to Hershey to see Slayer and Phil Anselmo.
