Steelers quarterback Devlin Hodges pumps his fist after a first-down completion during the second half against the Cardinals on Dec. 8, 2019 in Glendale, Ariz.

How are the Pittsburgh Steelers doing this?

At 8-5 and with undrafted rookie Devlin “Duck” Hodges quarterbacking three wins, the Steelers remain locked into a playoff spot in the thick of the race in the AFC.

But Mark Madden is not convinced that Hodges has anything to do with the team’s success.

Madden and Tim Benz discuss the Steelers’ 23-17 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday and whether this is a sustainable pattern of play from a team that is 7-1 in its past eight games.

The guys go over possible playoff scenarios and whether the Steelers, on top of potentially making the playoffs in a season where Ben Roethlisberger was out and James Conner and JuJu Smith-Schuster have been injured, could possibly even win a playoff road game.

Besides the Steelers, Madden and Benz talk about the Penguins’ goaltender battle between Tristan Jarry and Matt Murray, college football bowl season and more.
