New York Islanders’ Casey Cizikas and Pittsburgh Penguins’ Dominik Simon collide during the third period in Game 3 of an NHL first-round hockey playoff series Sunday, April 14, 2019.

It’s the day after another Penguins loss, and Tim Benz and Mark Madden discuss the state of the team, how good the Islanders are and what, if anything, can be done to salvage this first-round playoff series for Pittsburgh.

Benz and Madden discuss the Penguins’ issues maintaining momentum, the stars being held off the scoresheet, the Islanders’ system that’s stymieing the Penguins and whether Mike Sullivan is being outcoached … or outcoaching himself. Could he make any lineup changes in an effort to create a spark?

They also take reader questions, talk about Madden’s history as a Penguins fan and discuss whether the Penguins’ current 3-0 is more or less believable than the Lightning’s 3-0 deficit to the Blue Jackets.
