There’s only one thing I hate more than NFL preseason games.

Traveling to NFL preseason games.

Unless they are in Nashville. Late on a Sunday night. With a full weekend in one of the best party cities in America beforehand.

That I can handle. So I’m bummed I couldn’t cover the Steelers game there this weekend against the Tennessee Titans.

Plus, in Nashville, I could hook up with one of my best friends in the industry, former WTAE sports anchor Jon Burton.

He’s covering the Titans in Nashville now for NewsChannel 5. And, in this podcast, he gives us a look at how Mike Vrabel’s team could test the Steelers in their “all important” third preseason game.

However, Tennessee may not be able to wheel out all of its stars. Derrick Henry is just coming back to practice. He is a question mark, and Jon tells us most of the team’s draft class is banged up.

We also get into Vrabel’s coaching personality. Is he as much of a Bill Belichick clone as he appears?

There have also been reports of a quarterback controversy in Tennessee. I can’t see them giving up on Marcus Mariota for Ryan Tannehill. But we’ll hear what Jon thinks.

And, let’s not forget, the Titans and Steelers very well may be competing for a wild-card spot if neither team wins its division. So this is a sneak peek at a team that’ll be worth tracking all year.
