Trai Turner returns to full practice for Steelers; T.J. Watt, Joe Haden remain out
Among the five players on the Pittsburgh Steelers active roster who are on this week’s injury report, the only upgrade from Wednesday to Thursday was starting right guard Trai Turner.
Turner was listed as a full practice participant on the report, a day after he did not practice at all because of an ankle injury suffered during last week’s tie with the Detroit Lions.
It was status quo among the injured starters listed Wednesday: receiver Chase Claypool (toe) was limited, and cornerback Joe Haden (foot), outside linebacker T.J. Watt (hip/knee) and left guard Kevin Dotson (ankle) did not practice.
With the final practice of the week Friday, at this point it would appear to be longshots for any to play Sunday at the Los Angeles Chargers. Cornerback James Pierre, outside linebacker Taco Charlton and either B.J. Finney or J.C. Hassenauer would earn starts if Haden, Watt and/or Dotson do not play.
There was one Thursday addition to the injury report: reserve defensive lineman Isaiahh Loudermilk was limited because of a groin injury.
