A pair of developments Monday give strong indications Tristan Jarry has been cleared to return to game action for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The team’s No. 1 goalie was a full-practice participant for Monday’s session in Cranberry. He missed the past two games because of an upper-body injury suffered during the first period of a game last week against the New York Islanders.

“I’m back to 100%,” Jarry said in a video conference call with media afterward. “I feel really good out there. Being able to work with (goalie coach Mike Buckley) and the coaching staff, I think it will translate to my game.”

Jarry also practiced fully Friday, but he was not in uniform for the Penguins’ loss to the Boston Bruins the following day. Maxime Lagace served as the backup to Casey DeSmith for both of the Penguins’ games in Boston last week, but Lagace was assigned to the Penguins’ American Hockey League affiliate in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Monday.

With Lagace off the NHL roster and Jarry practicing, it is expected Jarry will be in uniform for Tuesday’s game at the New York Rangers, the start of a stretch of four games in six days.

Keep up with the Pittsburgh Penguins all season long.
