Steelers linebacker Marcus Allen warms up before the Nov. 28 game against the Colts in Indianapolis.

So “U mad, bro?” is a day late. And you are mad about that.

The Steelers are 6-8, and you are mad about that.

Marcus Allen is drawing penalties for wandering into the other team’s huddle and you are all really mad about that.

I mean, you should see all the tweets I didn’t print about that one.

Consider me refusing to share those as my idea of getting into the holiday spirit. Everything else, though, is your “U mad, bro?” stocking stuffer.

Merry Christmas!

Mark sent a tweet after Marcus Allen took his bad personal foul penalty for messing with the Panthers sideline huddle during a dead ball before what would have been a fourth-and-27 punt.

Yeah. But who would play the music at full volume to tick-off the media during interview sessions? No one is better at that job than Allen.

Jeff wants to chime in on Allen as well.

Becoming?

Ken has a follow-up on the Allen penalty.

Nah. They won, the team stinks and the season is a wash. Had the game mattered or even if the team blew the lead afterward? Then, yes.

Sean shows us that the Raiders fan base and media may be forcing as much optimism about their team’s postseason hopes as we are seeing about the Steelers in Pittsburgh.

Raiders fans aren’t that much different than Steelers fans. Both teams are 6-8, yet fans & the media are doing the math to figure out the incredible odds of either team actually making the (bleeping) playoffs.

Sadly, Sean, I think only Raiders fans will be clicking on the playoff machine come Christmas morning.

Tom has a complaint about the Pirates.

Why aren’t the Pirates selling individual spring training tickets until Jan. 20th? This makes no sense. Nearly every MLB team (including Yankees/Mets) are selling individual spring training tickets now. It takes time to plan spring training trips (flights/hotels). It would help knowing what tickets are available. Why are the Pirates constantly filled with ineptitude?

Tom, it’s the Pirates. It’s spring training. Here’s the schedule. I’m sure plenty of good seats will be available any day.

Heck, show up with a bat and a glove. Plenty of roster spots are available too.

But only if you are willing to work cheap.

Finally, David draws quite the analogy for the Steelers recent post-season win drought.

“If you put a frog in a pot of water and slowly heat the water up, you can cook the frog without the frog ever realizing the rising deadly water temperature. I am not sure what prompted the thought, but this is Tomlin and Steelers story. If you take a vaunted and celebrated successful franchise, slowly reduce the wins, the ability of the coaches, caliber of players, the knowledge base of the owners … will the fans ever notice?”

Well, David, based on the emails and tweets I get for this column every week, I think the fans are starting to notice. I’m not one who normally replies in GIF form, but all I can say in response to your email is …
