As all 32 NFL teams ready for their final exhibition game on Thursday, the general sentiment from fans is a simple one: meh.

Usually, starters for said teams do not participate and most who do will never make the squad.

But one game could be of interest.

Enter Carli Lloyd.

Lloyd, a two-time World Cup winner for the U.S. Women’s National Team, has been invited to kick field goals for a team, FoxSports.com reports.

Lloyd was contacted by several teams when video went viral of her kicking 50-plus-yard field goals during a practice with the Philadelphia Eagles, trainer James Galanis said.

“Today, she got another call from another NFL team,” Galanis, told Fox Sports on Monday. “The one that called today, I don’t want to say who it is, was willing to put her on the roster for their next (game). They were willing to put her on the roster.”

Unfortunately, the spectacle will never arise for the preseason finale because Lloyd will join her soccer teammates on the same Thursday night in a victory tour friendly against Portugal in Philadelphia.

But could future endeavors be in the cards?

“I am having discussions with my husband [Brian Hollins] and James about the reality of playing in the NFL,” the Delran, N.J., native told Fox Sports. “They both feel that I could do it and should consider it. So I’m seriously considering it, as it’s a challenge. I would probably enjoy it.”
