Let the records fall where they may at Pitt-Greensburg.
The women’s soccer team is having a season to remember and rewriting the record books in the process.
The Bobcats (14-0) have registered 11 shutouts and have outscored their opponents, 47-4. As a result of their winning streak, which broke the program record, UPG moved up two spots in the United Soccer Coaches Association Great Lakes Region rankings.
Freshman Ashley Lucas broke the single-season program record for game-winning goals (9) that was held by Melissa Wiggins since 2002.
Sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Yoder, meanwhile, broke Torey Auld’s mark of nine shutouts in a season. That record was set in 2003.
UPG plays in Division III but Lucas leads the NCAA — all divisions — in goals (20), points (49) and game-winning goals (9).
