Tim Benz and Mark Madden return for this week’s edition of “Unfiltered” on TribLive’s Facebook page to talk about the Pittsburgh Steelers win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at Heinz Field.

The Steelers are 4-0 this season, but Madden doesn’t think the Steelers have had a convincing win yet. They squeaked by a banged-up Eagles team. Ben Roethlisberger and Chase Claypool played well, but the offense had to bail out the defense.

The defense gave up a lot of plays, drives and points, but they are still making the splash plays, according to Madden. A good defense has to play better then they did.

Benz thinks the defense is good when they play ahead, but they they can’t get a stop when they need it.

The guys say that the team should be 4-0 with wins over teams that the should beat. But the schedule gets a more difficult. The Steelers face the Cleveland Browns next week, and the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys also coming up.

The guys also talk about the connection between Roethlisberger and Claypool. And where that leaves JuJu Smith-Schuster in the offense.

Madden and Benz also talk some hockey and breakdown some of the Penguins recent moves. Do the Penguins need to find a third scoring line? Or just focus on two lines that score?

The guys also lament Pitt’s latest disappointing - but typical - loss, this time to Boston College on Saturday.

They also respond to some reader comments.
