USA Today named PNC Park, home of the Pittsburgh Pirates, as the best ballpark in its rankings of Major League Baseball stadiums.

Baseball reporters and editors from the USA Today network revealed the honor in a story, “Ranking MLB’s stadiums from 1 to 30: Baseball travelers’ favorite ballparks.”

PNC Park, which opened in 2001, enters its 24th season with the home opener against the Baltimore Orioles on April 5.

“Throughout the course of the park’s lifetime, especially under the leadership of Bob Nutting, we have worked hard to build upon everything that makes PNC Park so special,” Pirates president Travis Williams said in a statement. “From the ongoing physical enhancements, new food offerings, and expanded historical displays, to how our hosts care for every guest, PNC Park continues to help make Pittsburgh a desirable destination for millions each year.”
