USGA to open U.S. Open merchandise tent early for fans without tickets
Golf fans without tickets to attend the U.S. Open next week still will have the opportunity to purchase tournament merchandise, according to the USGA.
The merchandise pavilion at Oakmont Country Club will be open to the public from Thursday to Sunday, prior to the tournament, the organization said.
Featuring a half-million items from 45 brands, the pavilion will include traditional gift shop apparel including hats, golf shirts and outerwear in addition to souvenirs such as posters and golf towels.
Visitors can park for free at the country club and walk to the gift shop.
During the tournament, which runs from June 9 to 15, ticket holders will have access to the pavilion as well as a satellite merchandise tent behind the driving range and a walk-up tent between holes No. 11 and No. 12.
The pavilion will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
