The Packers’ Isaiah McDuffie needs help from Devonte Wyatt to bring down eligible offensive lineman Spencer Anderson after a catch in the first quarter Sunday Oct. 26, 2025 at Acrisure Stadium.

INGLEWOOD, Calif. – With Isaac Seumalo missing from the offensive line because of injury, the Pittsburgh Steelers dressed veteran backup Andrus Peat for the first time this season.

Peat, a former first-round draft pick and 10-year NFL veteran, also got the start at left guard Sunday night against the Los Angeles Chargers as a result of a pectoral injury to Seumalo.

Spencer Anderson was expected to replace Seumalo in the starting lineup. Anderson had filled in for Seumalo at times during the previous two games. Instead, he began the game continuing his role as the tackle-eligible in the Steelers’ jumbo package.

It was a brief substitution. Peat was called for a false start on the first play from scrimmage, and he was replaced by Anderson at the start of the second series.

Peat had made 103 starts in his career prior to joining the Steelers. He spent his first nine seasons with New Orleans and made one start last season for Las Vegas.

The Steelers had two healthy scratches against the Chargers, and neither was a surprise. Defensive tackle Logan Lee was inactive for the fifth consecutive week, and the Steelers also scratched defensive tackle Brodric Martin-Jones, who was signed off the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad earlier in the week.

Not dressing because of injury were wide receiver Scotty Miller, safety Jabrill Peppers, inside linebacker Cole Holcomb and Seumalo.

On Saturday, the Steelers signed running back Trey Sermon to the 53-man roster because he had exhausted his practice squad elevations. Linebacker Mark Robinson, who was re-signed to the practice squad this week, was elevated to the game-day roster.

Robinson spent three games with New England and the New York Jets before returning to the Steelers, his employer for the previous three seasons.

On Friday, the Steelers had ruled out Miller (broken finger), Peppers (quadriceps), Holcomb (illness) and Seumalo (pectoral). Seumalo exited the past two games because of his pectoral injury and did not practice the entire week.

The Chargers inactives were safety Tony Jefferson, cornerback Tarheeb Still, outside linebacker Kyle Kennard, tackles Bobby Hart and Foster Sarell, wide receiver KeAndre Lambert Smith and tight end Will Dissly.
