Virginia high school point guard commits to Duquesne

Duquesne received a second player for its Class of 2019 recruiting class when Evan Buckley of Stone Bridge (Va.) High School announced his verbal commitment on Twitter.

A 6-foot point guard, Buckley broke Stone Bridge’s career scoring and assist records and was voted Potomac District Player of the Year and Region 5C Player of the Year.

Buckley listed offers from American, Bucknell, Columbia, Delaware, Duquesne, George Mason, James Madison, Lafayette, Marist, Vermont and Yale.

Buckley joins Kennedy Catholic guard Maceo Austin in Duquesne’s 2019 recruiting class.
