After ankle surgery, Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett ruled out against Patriots
Quarterback Kenny Pickett had surgery Monday to repair a high ankle sprain and won’t play Thursday night when the Pittsburgh Steelers face the New England Patriots at Acrisure Stadium.
Coach Mike Tomlin ruled out Pickett at his weekly press conference Monday, which was conducted less than 24 hours after Pickett was injured in the second quarter of the Steelers’ 24-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Tomlin didn’t have a time frame for Pickett’s return but said the injury is not season-ending.

Center Mason Cole was limited because of a neck injury. Defensive tackle Keeanu Benton was limited with an oblique strain.
