Franklin Regional grad Tommy Kegerreis has 18 RBIs this season at Wheeling, his second since transferring from WCCC.

Franklin Regional’s Kegerreis brothers made a lasting impression when they played for the Panthers.

When the team needed an extra-base hit, maybe a home run, they often came through.

While both went off to play college baseball, they redirected their path at the next level.

Freshman Louie Kegerreis, who hit .562 and scored 27 runs as a senior, went from the Division I to junior-college level and, as one might expect, is producing.

He is playing at Lackawanna, located in Scranton.

Through 21 games, the redshirt freshman was leading the Falcons with a .408 batting average, seven home runs and 32 RBIs.

Kegerreis, who had a five-RBI game against Sullivan Community College, transferred from Delaware.

Meanwhile, Tommy Kegerreis was hitting .258 in 21 games for the Wheeling Cardinals with two homers, 18 RBIs and nine runs scored.

He has four multi-hit games in his second season with the team since transferring from Westmoreland County Community College.

Bryant: Grad utility man Tyler Horvat (Penn-Trafford) improved to 3-2 on the mound as he tossed seven innings of one-run baseball, and the Bulldogs defeated Albany, 11-1.

Cal (Pa.): Sophomore Jake Kramer (Hempfield) earned his second win of the season after working one scoreless inning as the Vulcans edged Gannon, 8-7.

Pitt: Redshirt sophomore Phil Fox (Hempfield) worked his fifth straight scoreless appearance and notched his third win of the season as the Panthers edged Georgia Tech, 3-2.

Sophomore shortstop Jake Kendro (Norwin) clubbed a solo shot off the scoreboard, increasing his hitting streak to six games, as the Panthers defeated Georgia Tech, 7-4, in the series finale.

Kendro is tied for the team lead in homers with five, and he leads the Panthers with a .321 batting average.

Pitt-Greensburg: Bobcats coach Scott Adams reached the 100-win mark for his career.

Saint Vincent: After a gut-wrenching, 11-10 loss in the first game, the Bearcats (4-16) rebounded with a 9-0 win over Franciscan to sweep a doubleheader.

Junior L.J. Evans and freshman Jake Auld (Norwin) each had three RBIs, with Auld delivering a solo homer. Sophomore Dylan Schmude scored three runs, and senior Billy Perroz (Kiski Area) had two RBIs.

Senior Jeremy Kreuzwieser was named the PAC Pitcher of the Week.

He pitched eight shutout innings, allowed three hits and struck out a career-high 11 against Franciscan.

Seton Hill: The Griffins swept a four-game series from Pitt-Johnstown to move to 21-9 overall and 8-4 in the PSAC West.

The final game was a walk-off winner in extra innings as freshman Owen Mandler singled to right in the bottom of the eighth to score junior Max Mandler in a 5-4 victory.

Grad student Owen Sabol (Norwin) tied it with a sacrifice fly with one out.

Junior Max Mandler scored twice, and senior Elijah Snider had two RBIs for Seton Hill.

Senior Michael Marinchak (Ligonier Valley), the fifth pitcher used by the Griffins, picked up his third win to move to 3-1.

Snider was named the PSAC West Athlete of the Week.

Yale: Senior Jake Williams (Franklin Regional) went 3 for 5 with two RBIs to help the Bulldogs to a 12-3 win over Penn.

Mercyhurst: Senior Morgan Hilty (Penn-Trafford) earned her fourth win of the season scattering eight hits with two walks over 513 innings as the Lakers defeated Gannon, 13-5.

She made the all-conference first team in those events and the second team in three relays and in the 50 freestyle.

Her time of 57.70 seconds in the 100 backstroke broke her own record.
