Mt. Pleasant grad Rylin Bugosh competes for the W&J women's soccer team during the 2025 season.

As Rylin Bugosh becomes more comfortable with college soccer and her surroundings at Washington & Jefferson, the soccer ball is finding the back of the net more often.

The freshman striker out of Mt. Pleasant scored a goal in the season opener in August and went scoreless in eight of the next nine games.

But since October arrived, she came in like fall, firing in six goals in her last five games, including her first college hat trick.

Bugosh fired in three goals as the Presidents dropped Thiel, 9-1, in a PAC game.

She now leads W&J (5-8-2, 2-4-2) in goals (6) and points (14).

He is Wheeling Jesuit’s all-time leader in wins with 103. He also coached at Saint Vincent.

“I am excited for the opportunity to come back to Division II wrestling and to be with a great group of guys and a phenomenal coach leading the program,” Fanning said in a news release. “I am honored to be able to learn from coach DeAugustine and help with the vision that he and I have for team. I am thrilled to see these young men develop and grow on and off the mat.”

Said DeAugustine: “Terrance brings with him a wealth of knowledge both on and off the mat. Any time you can surround your guys with someone of high character that knows what it’s like to win at the biggest stage, it’s a win for the program. I am extremely excited to see what he can do with the development of our upper weights.”
