Lernerville Speedway officials have canceled opening night races scheduled for Friday, as rain and cold temperatures are in the forecast.

This is the second consecutive week track officials have decided to delay the start of the season.

Lernerville Speedway will now kick off the 2022 season April 22 to not interfere with next weekend’s Easter holiday, officials said.

The opening night schedule includes Peoples Natural Gas Sprint Cars, Precise Racing Products Late Models, Diehl Automotive Big Block Modifieds and Millerstown Pic-A-Part Pro Stocks.

Hot laps will begin at 6:50 p.m. with racing starting at 7:30. Pit gates will open at 4 p.m. and the grandstands will open at 5. The card also will be broadcast on Lernerville.tv on a pay-per-view basis.

Tickets are available at Lernerville.com.
