Players aren’t the only ones preparing for training camp. It’s also a memorable experience for the fans in Steeler Nation.

Here are some key pieces of information before heading to Saint Vincent for the 58th year of Pittsburgh Steelers training camp:

Have a ticket

• Admission to open practices is free, but fans must have a mobile ticket. Tickets can be accessed through Ticketmaster and via Steelers.com.

Where to park

• Parking at Saint Vincent is free. The parking lot entrance is at the intersection of Saint Vincent Drive and Brouwers Road.

• ADA parking is at the Fred Rogers Center Parking Lot on 300 Fraser Purchase Road. A shuttle is provided.

• Practices begin at 1:55 p.m., with the exception of the Friday night practice at Latrobe Memorial Stadium. Fans are encouraged to arrive at parking lots when they open at 11:45 a.m. Entry will not be available before noon.

• Tailgating is not permitted.

Where to watch

• The practice fields at Saint Vincent are set up like an amphitheater, allowing fans to watch from the hillsides or the bleachers. Fans can bring chairs or blankets to sit in the grass. Bleachers face Chuck Noll Field but fill up fast.

Autographs and player interaction

• There is no designated area for autographs, but players will sometimes sign and interact with fans as they head to the fields before practice or when they exit after practice.

Activities, tents and food trucks

• Fans can participate in football drills at the FedEx Air & Ground Zone.

• There are prizes to be won at the Steelers tent.

• Concessions and food trucks are available throughout campus.

• Steelers alumni will be on hand during training camp at the Hall of Honor Museum for photo opportunities.

Merch available

• The Steelers Pro Shop is stocked with official team gear, from clothes to memorabilia.

Weather or not …

• Practice could be canceled or moved indoors because of inclement weather. Be sure to follow along with Steelers social media channels for updates or download the team’s mobile app for push notifications.

• The grounds of Saint Vincent can be unforgiving in the July and August heat. So pack sunscreen and a reliable hat and be sure to hydrate.
