Zion Fowler visited Pitt’s campus five times during the recruiting process. So, even after the three-star wide receiver prospect decommitted from Pitt on Nov. 18, he never stopped thinking about a career with the Panthers.

On Tuesday afternoon, the day before national signing day, Fowler of St. Peter’s Prep in Jersey City, N.J., rejoined Pitt’s class of 2023 when he told coach Pat Narduzzi he plans to enroll next year. He chose Pitt over scholarship offers from Duke, Louisville, Virginia Tech and Syracuse.

Fowler (6-foot-1, 185 pounds) is the 18th prospect in Pitt’s class and the fifth with potential to play wide receiver in college. He joins Lamar Seymore of Miami, Jesse Anderson of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Kenny Johnson of York and Israel Polk of Bellflower, Calif.

Pitt’s class is ranked 50th in the nation and 10th in the ACC by Rivals.com.
