W&J baseball wins NCAA regional
Washington & Jefferson baseball took down No. 11 Rowan, 6-5, Sunday in Salibury, Md., to win the NCAA Division III Salisbury Regional and advance to the Super Regional round.
Mullen Socha hit a two-run home run and Dante Dalesandro added a solo homer for the Presidents (35-11), who rallied to take a 6-4 lead in the fifth inning.
Dalesandro went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and three runs, and Socha was 2 for 4.
Four pitchers saw time for W&J, including Clay Martin, who picked up his 10th save of the season.
