Letter to the editor: Liberals won't see the truth

Tribune-Review

Kudos to the writer of the well-thought-out letter “Opposing news, opposing views” (Jan. 9, TribLive). His conclusion is spot on. Hillary Clinton once refereed to MAGA supporters as deplorables. Since I don’t think she is ever right about things political, her opinion in my mind isn’t worth a hill of beans. Even though she’s a legend in her own mind.

Clinton likes to paint we MAGA supporters with a broad brush. Allow me to return the favor.

A group of whom I am the most familiar are the Donald Trump-hating Tribune-Review letter- writers. They are, in my opinion, collectively colossal jewels of political ignorance; they are not in command of the facts they all profess and as a group are lazy; they all regurgitate the same talking points generated by the Democrats and their willing accomplices, the mainstream press. We all know them: Russia, Russia, Russia, tax breaks for the rich, a convicted felon, the great insurrection of Jan. 6.

For me, these and many other talking points have been debunked, but not to the satisfaction of the Trump-haters who still worship at the altar of liberalism. The debunking, however, will be revealed to all in the near future. The truth will not, however, be accepted by the left, and the letters will keep coming. In fact, I do hope they keep coming, for as in the chaotic world of liberalism, they do provide a bit of comic relief.
