Pete Davidson spotted hitting the rides at Kennywood
Pete Davidson, comedian and actor known as a cast member on “Saturday Night Live,” was spotted with his co-star Nicholas Hoult, who plays Lex Luthor in the new Superman movie, riding coasters at Kennywood.
Davidson and Hoult are starring together in “How to Rob a Bank” — an action thriller about a crew of bank robbers who vlog their heists on social media while dodging the police. The movie is slated to hit theaters on Sept. 4, 2026.
During a break from filming in Pittsburgh, the two made their way to Kennywood.
The lucky Pittsburghers who managed to catch a glimpse posted about the chance encounter.
Others, who weren’t so lucky, posted their disappointment.
Kennywood ride team members were looking over photos from the Sky Rocket and spotted the familiar faces. They quickly let the marketing team know.
“I feel like he’s such a chill guy,” Lynsey Winters, communications director at Kennywood, said. “I feel he wanted to come in and feel like a guest and have a good time.”
Winters said that in her experience, most celebrities don’t want security.
“They want to come and enjoy the park and be a normal person,” she said.
The comedian is expecting his first child with his girlfriend Elsie Hewitt. The baby is due this winter.
Davidson also sold out three shows at Bottlerocket Social Hall on Saturday and another Sunday at the Pittsburgh Improv.
