Take advantage of the (finally!) toasty weather this weekend and get out there. Here are just a few of the many things going on around Pittsburgh this weekend.

Shadyside Art Festival

Walnut Street in Shadyside is normally for browsing shops and restaurant offerings, but this weekend, it’ll be for browsing art and crafts. Now in its fifth year, the Shadyside … The Other Art Festival’s Spring Showcase is always a hit.

The event is free and will feature more than 100 vendors selling fine art and fine crafts. You’ll find art in all mediums, from paintings to photography to pottery to clothing. There will also be a seasonal green market, and the vendors will all be on site to discuss their techniques and inspirations.

The Art Festival will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on Walnut Street in Shadyside. To learn more, visit artfestival.com.

Parks on Tap

Returning for another season, the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy’s Parks on Tap events will kick off this weekend in Schenley Park in Oakland. This pop-up beer garden at the Visitor Center will make the perfect warm weather gathering to brighten your weekend.

The event will feature a custom, specially brewed summer lager from Eleventh Hour Brewing, a selection of food trucks to complement the brew and live music from Katelyn Fajardo from 4 to 6 p.m. Whether you’d prefer to kick back and relax (be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket!) or explore the park, this is a great chance to savor some of Pittsburgh’s green space and delicious beer.

The free event is open from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Schenley Park in Oakland. Make sure to come back for select Fridays through September. To learn more, visit pittsburghparks.org.

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’

This ballet adaptation of Shakespeare’s fantastical “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” will take audiences to a magical world full of dance and beauty this weekend at the Benedum Center.

The classic comedy unspools the tales of several couples, both mortal and supernatural. Now, you can see this story told through the medium of ballet, with ethereal visuals and stunning choreography.

Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, as well as 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. To learn more and get tickets, visit pbt.org.

This event will show off all things bodybuilding, power lifting, wrestling and martial arts. There will be competitions throughout in a number of different events, as well as a vendor market of more than 100 fitness-related businesses.

The pulse-pounding festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Downtown Pittsburgh. Entry tickets are $30 per day and $50 for both days. Learn more at pittspowerfit.com.
