Pittsburgh Milliones 6-12 school in the Hill District is closed Friday as a result of a fourth person testing positive for the coronavirus, according to district officials.

The person who recently tested positive was last inside the school building on Wednesday. The building will be cleaned and reopen on Monday, according to a sent to parents.

That’s the same day 10,000 more students will resume an in-person learning schedule in the district under an instruction plan approved by the board of directors earlier this year. Students who showed signs of progress through virtual learning will be returning to their classrooms under the plan, according to the district’s website.

The district began a phased reopening April 6 starting with students who struggled the most with remote learning as well as kindergarten and Pre-K students. Most will be attending through a hybrid model, in which some students attend Mondays and Tuesdays, others on Thursdays and Fridays.

Students can visit Pittsburgh Miller school at 2055 Bedford Ave. to pick up breakfast and lunch from 8-11 a.m. Friday.
