Pittsburgh police responding to a Shotspotter alert Thursday night in the city’s Sheraden neighborhood found two people with gunshot wounds, according to authorities.

Officers from the Zone 6 station in the West End were alerted to multiple shots fired in the 3000 block of Bergman Street shortly after 9 p.m.

Police said when officers arrived at the scene they found a man and woman inside a parked vehicle, both of them appeared to have gunshot wounds.

The woman was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. Her condition has since been upgraded to stable.

Police said the man had serious injuries but was in stable condition when he was transported for treatment.

Officials said the Crime Scene Unit collected evidence at the scene of the shooting, which is being investigated by detectives with the Violent Crime and Group Violence Intervention units.
