Arrest made in August killing in North Braddock
Police have made an arrest in a fatal Aug. 14 shooting in North Braddock.
Jamir Washington-Morgan, 20, was apprehended Friday in West Mifflin by the county sheriff’s fugitive squad and charged with criminal homicide, Allegheny County Police said. He is lodged in Allegheny County Jail, awaiting arraignment.
North Braddock police and paramedics responded to Jones and Baldridge avenues around 6:30 p.m. Aug. 14 after receiving reports that a man had been shot. The victim — Leonard Morris-Graham, 29 — was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.
The county police homicide unit investigated and determined Washington-Morgan was responsible, police said.
